Ridiculous Things

Episodes of House are posted on Hulu eight days after their initial broadcast.
That's a load of bull.

Most Blu-ray movies are still $25 retail at Superstores and $30 at expensive places like Barnes & Noble.
People won't buy them until they come down in price.

Bresnan cable internet costs $55 monthly if you have it standalone, without cable TV.
The U.S. needs to work on getting cheaper high-speed internet and get high speed to rural areas. I read that this was a sliver of the beastly economic stimulus package.

Digital SLR's improve dramatically about every three years.
People get roped into buying new D-SLR's all the time. Lenses, however, are where the real investment and quality lie in the images. My best purchase to date has been my Nikon 50mm f/1.4 lens. The D300 is a close second, but the 50mm lens has allowed me to photograph in new ways. Save more money for lenses, and you'll have an investment that will last for years, rather than a mere camera upgrade that costs thousands.

Most people will not own Blu-ray players until they cost around $150. High-def TV's must also drop in price more, as they are $800+ for good, decent size sets.
I won't be buying a blu-ray player until I can get a midrange player for $150 or less.
