The Wii Internet ChannelOver Christmas break my 14 year old brother told me about the internet channel on the Wii that could be added to surf pages. I was amazed when he told me, since I knew this could be done with things like the Homebrew channel, (that another friend told me about) but I didn't know this could be done easily.
The Internet Channel includes an Opera browser, costs 500 Wii points, and the installation is as simple as adding a channel. Here's Nintendo's page where I read up on the
Internet Channel. Nintendo support area has a good
Q&A area and instructions for the channel. This page shows
what the Opera browser supports. It doesn't support anything higher than Flash 7. The Wii remote can be used to point and click on links. Only the wii remote can be used to surf the web.
