Buying an Electric Scooter

The e-Zip 750 (made by Currie Technologies) is the best scooter I've found under $400.

As of today, Amazon sells it for $334.19.  The normal retail is $449.

Scooter Specs:

• Speed up to 15 mph
• Range up to 12 miles (depending on rider weight)
• Constructed of hi-tensile steel; extremely durable and forgiving
• Front suspension allows for smooth turns and absorbs the bumps in the road
• Motorized folding with seat; great for getting around quickly and can be easily stored 
• Brakes: Front disc brake with power modulator and alloy brake inhibit lever  
• Drive: Chain drive; patented Currie Electro Drive system 
• Weight:  60 pounds

Other scooters I've considered.

The eZip 500 is only $250 on Amazon, but its range is only up to 8 miles.  Even this lower model is still made of hi-tensile steel.
